OxiClean Detergent BallLaundry detergent has always seemed like a magical substance to me. Throw a little in the washing machine with your dirtiest clothes, and at the end of the cycle they come out clean. Now OxiClean has followed up with its own version of magic detergent. They've got a detergent ball that is left in your washing machine during and between up to 25 loads. No more detergent spills. No more bulky bottles of laundry soap. One OxiClean Detergent Ball will clean 25 loads of laundry without any measuring, pouring, or spilling. Now that sounds magic to me.

How do the clothes get rinsed if there’s alway detergent in the washer? How does the ball know if the load is small or large?

LOL- good question but I do know they work well for towels etc and they are soft afterwards- It is basically made up of hydrogen peroxide and alcolhol and there is no detergent- very similiar to oxiclean- not good for clothes that are too dirty- I like the fact there are no suds– to gum up your towels- good for blood stains – I do not use it re all the wash- it is really a matter of timing rather than size of load- personally I would say buy them for towels and simple loads but use regular for other laundry.

I agree with the comment by meme16, it is not good for clothes that are too dirty In my opinion undergarments either. Even after leaving in the ball for the regular cycle And the rinse cycle they don’t feel or smell Clean! I had to also wash them with regular detergent to get them clean. I also use the ball plus I add a small amount of detergent and that seems to work well. Keep in mind everytime you use the ball you use up One of the 25 loads. So if you leave it in during the Rinse that’s Two and that’s using All Cold water. If you use Warm or hot Water it uses the ball up fast!
