I filled up the gas tank in my minivan last week. When I looked at the total, I nearly died of shock. The grocery store receipts are starting to creep up to. My husband jokingly asked me if we could really afford eggs anymore. The truth is that a lot of people are pinching their pennies a little more tightly. Here are a few ways to save money on your household budget and still have a clean and organized home.

My problem is with reusables. I am addicted to the Swiffer although I know it’s much less to use a mop and broom that doesn’t require fancy wipes :)

I have recently discovered the Wal-Mart is not the least expensive when it comes to food and household items. Habits die hard and I know that I can save more if I spend more time finding deals and using coupons so that I spend less on household products.

For the Swiffer sweeper, I found a package of dish cloths in a $ store which fit perfectly in the Swiffer. They work great and I just shake them out and wash to reuse.
