I come across so many weird myths like this in my window cleaning industry. In fact, I’ve had somebody mention this carpet cleaning myth once. It’s funny you mention it.

Carpet Cleaning can shrink carpeting especially if it is a natural fiber. For a synthetic to shrink it waould have to really get wet -water damaged-. The system that we -DMS Carpet Cleaners Stamford Ct.-use avoids issues like this and carpets are usually dry in a few hours.
