Get Organized for the Holidays: Week 4 Instructions

Dining areas frequently become multipurpose areas of our homes. Our dining table is for homework, crafts, entertaining, and dining. With all of those uses, it's no wonder that sometimes our dining areas need a little attention. As you prepare your home for Thanksgiving and other upcoming holidays, spend a little time cleaning and organizing the dining areas.

I just read your articles on handwashing dishes that were a part of this series.

Here’s my tip: Before donning rubber gloves (and using the hottest water possible), put lotion on your hands. The heat helps your skin to absorb the lotion. My hands are soft as silk now!

One way that I keep things off my dining table during the holidays is by keeping a holiday themed table cloth or runner on it with a nice center piece. That way I feel less inclined to dump things on it during the day or week. But now I have to find out how to keep it clutter free during the rest of the year…
