My husband texted me to let me know that he isn't feeling well. Since it is the week before school ends for winter break, I've been waiting for some bug or another to hit our family. The one thing that is really hard for me to deal with is vomit. While it's not a pleasant stain to deal with, vomit is not too difficult to remove if you act quickly. Find out how to remove vomit stains on clothing and carpet.

My trick for carpet is to use Windex!
Just a note of warning that if the vomit is due to norovirus (what most of us think of as a stomach virus), it is highly, highly contagious. You need to use extreme caution when cleaning so as not to get sick yourself, and to actually remove or kill the virus. I have found very helpful cleaning information from http://www.michigan.gov/documents/Guidelines_for_Environmental_Cleaning_125846_7.pdf
You need to make sure any cleaning products are registered for norovirus – most are NOT so do check. We always use bleach, or heat when bleach isn’t possible.
