Celebrating It's celebration week and all you have to do is maintain what you've already done as you deal with last minute issues. Isn't it nice to have your home is such great shape for the holidays? This week celebrate with your family and maintain the clean.
Week 10 Tasks:
Cleaning:
Don't sweat the small stuff. Stains, spills, and accidents are bound to happen. Your house is in great shape, though. It can handle a little wear and tear. Maintain cleanliness with a 15 Minute Cleanup for each room in your home. This will help us maintain all the hard work we've done throughout our home. You'll need to pay special attention to your most used rooms, like your kitchen, bathrooms, and living areas. Spend a little time each day getting them back to their "intensely cleaned" state.
Organizing:
Because we've spent so much time organizing over the last several weeks, things should be running fairly smoothly in your home. Do some quick organizing of any trouble spots and keep up the organization that you've already done.
Decorating:
Add the final touches to your Christmas decorating.
Cooking:
Celebrate all your successes with your food preparation. Enjoy a lot of special treats that we only get once a year.
Scheduling:
Don't forget to schedule some rest time for yourself amidst all the festivities. While everyone is engaged in an old classic Christmas movie, or a particularly exciting football game, take a nap or just a rest.
Buying:
Wrap gifts. To make it easier on you, set up a gift wrap station in your home. If you have the space you can make it a whole section of a room. If space is more limited, consider a portable wrapping storage container that can be brought out when needed. Be sure to tuck all receipts into your holiday planning notebook.
Include batteries, camcorder tapes, and film on your list if needed. Don't forget to plug in and charge your video and photo cameras so they'll be ready to capture the celebrations.
Finish your homemade gifts this week.
Don't forget to buy or make a few extra gifts for the unexpected. There's always someone who drops by unexpectedly with a present for your family that you may feel like quickly reciprocating.
Include all of your lists in your holiday organizing notebook so that you can add to them or modify them as needed.
If you haven't already, finish up your holiday cards and letters and send them on their way.
