By Sarah Aguirre, About.com

Outdoor furniture is exposed to a lot, and aluminum patio furniture is built to take the heat and the elements. But what kind of care do we need to give our aluminum patio furniture to extend its beauty and life?
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15-20 minutes

Here's How:

  1. General cleaning

Use a cleaning rag with mild dish soap and water to wipe down aluminum patio furniture on a regular basis.

  2. Removing scuffed areas

To remove scuff marks from aluminum patio furniture, try a gel or liquid non-abrasive cleaner like SoftScrub. This will allow the scuffed area to be removed without damaging the finish of the furniture.

  3. Rinse.

Use a garden hose to rinse off the aluminum furniture after cleaning and removing scuffed areas.

Tips:

  1. A nice protectant is baby oil. It shines and protects aluminum patio furniture.

What You Need:

  • Mild dish soap
