Downy Infusions Fabric Softener: The Pros
Downy Infusions Fabric Softener comes in a ton of scents. Everyone is sure to find something that they really love. And because 3 of the scents are made for fabric softener and dryer sheets, your scents can match. Downy's Unstoppables
are even designed to compliment with their scents.
Downy Infusions feature microscopic scent packets called renewing scent pearls that help to keep the scent on your laundry longer. Scent is designed to be released duing movement. The fabric softener can be used inside the drum of your washing machine for standard washers. It can also be used in the fabric softener dispenser cup on HE washing machines, or inside a Downy Ball. Downy's products are reasonably priced and easily found at local grocery and super-stores.
Downy Infusions Fabric Softener: The Cons
For those with sensitive noses, this product might not be the best. While it doesn't leave a super strong scent behind, it is definitely noticeable. Also, as with all fabric softeners, you run the risk of staining your clothing if you don't use it properly. Only 3 of the scents, Orchid Allure, Sage Jasmine, and Lavender Serenity, are available in dryer sheets. So if one of those isn't your favorite, you'll need another scent for the dryer. And while the product is easy to find at local stores, finding your exact favorite scent could be a challenge.
Downy Infusions Fabric Softener: Overall Review
I'm always picking up new things to try and review for my readers. Recently I stumbled on the Sage Jasmine scent of Downy Infusions Fabric Softener. I wondered how the scents of Sage and Jasmine would work well together so I bought a bottle of fabric softener
and a package of dryer sheets to test out. I often put products in the laundry room so that I can start using them when our old products run out, but I didn't pay attention to how much we had left of our other products.
A few days later as I left the house and my family to run some errands, I smelled an amazing smell near our garage. I followed my nose to track the scent to the dryer exhaust running out of the side of our house. I went inside to see where the smell had come from. It was the Sage Jasmine Downy that one of my kids had opened up and begun using. It smelled wonderful, but I was surprised because the box of dryer sheets didn't seem to be open. Then I realized that the smell was coming from the clothes in the dryer that had been washed with fabric softner. I was impressed. That was some powerful stuff.
Over the course of the next few weeks we used up all of the products. Several family members commented on the scent of the laundry. But even my most sensitive skinned and nosed kids did not notice any irritation or aggravation. This was a big plus for me, since I have to be careful for their sakes.
My overall take away is that the Downy Infusions Fabric Softener line is a great product for those who like scent in their laundry and are looking for interesting and powerful scent combinations.
