Guide Review - Oxiclean Free

The inconvenience of powder and the tendency for it to not fully rinse from any surface, made me skeptical about it’s ability to clean and rinse away. Even with its promise of being fragrance, dye, and chlorine free, I doubted it could pass my son’s “skin test”. Added to a load of my son’s clothes as a stain booster, to remove grass, mud, and popscicle stains, I doubted he would be able to wear anything without becoming “itchy” and being removed. The stains came out and the shirts stayed on, much to my delight. Mixed up as a mopping solution, oxiclean free did a nice job on some linoleum floors. As a carpet stain remover it did fine, but I felt it was difficult to remove the residue of the cleaner. There are a lot of surfaces Oxiclean free is not recommended for, so read directions thoroughly. Overall though its performance in the laundry room was great, and it performed well in other areas of my home.

Oxiclean Free changed to Oxiclean Versatile Free, Member Mal.Mo

The former Oxiclean Free no longer exists. The manufacturer now offers Oxiclean Versatile Free as it's ""free"" version of Oxiclean...at a slightly higher price in some areas and stores....and no longer makes Oxiclean Free. Am not sure if it fills all of the same needs exactly, such as for soaking baby clothes, or whether it is exactly the same as before. Has anyone tried this new product for that? As safe for baby things as the Oxiclean Free was?
