The rough texture of coffee ground can lend themselves nicely to scrubbing your dishes without damaging them. Add a few teaspoons of dry coffee ground onto a square cleaning rag. Wrap up the ends of the rag and secure with a rubber band. Use your new scrub sponge to clean difficult dishes.
Deodorizer
Coffee ground soak up other smells. Use them in the bottom of a new trash sack liner to keep your trash fresher longer. Soak smelly cutting boards with some coffee grounds to remove odors. You can even put a bowl of coffee grounds into your refrigerator to absorb odors, there. Change out the coffee grounds when they become too damp or start to lose their own odor.
Pest Control
Having plants in our home creates a more relaxed and welcoming environment. Unfortunately some house plants can also attract pests. Deter bugs from your house plants and your home by adding some coffee grounds to your potted or garden plants.
