Removing Red Wine Stains on Carpet

Stain Removal Step 1.

Blot up as much of the red wine stain as possible by using a clean white cloth.

Stain Removal Step 2.

Pour cold water onto the red wine stain and blot up the stained area again. Continue until no more stain can be removed.

Stain Removal Step 3.

Use a 3-1 baking soda/water paste on the red wine stain. Allow it to dry before vacuuming up.

Stain Removal Step 4.

If red wine stain remains, apply a carpet stain remover according to the directions.
