Vomit Stains On Fabric

Use a spoon to remove as much of the vomit stain as possible.

Rinse with cold water from the back of the stained areas.

Mix ¼ cup of ammonia with 1 cup of warm water and sponge the back of the vomit stain area. Rinse thoroughly.

Soak with liquid laundry detergent and warm sudsy water for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Rinse thoroughly and apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray to the vomit stain. Let sit for 3-5 minutes.

Wash according to the directions.

Vomit Stains On Carpet

Use a spoon to remove as much of the vomit stain as possible.

Pour club soda or cold water onto the vomit stain. Let it stand for 30 seconds.

Blot the vomit stain with a clean dry cloth, soaking up the stain. Replace the cloth as it becomes wet. Repeat until no more vomit stain will come up.

Treat the area with a carpet spot stain remover according to its directions. Look for a carpet stain remover with enzymes. Many stain removers for pet carpet stains will be a good choice.
