By Sarah Aguirre, About.com

Vinegar:

Vinegar is a natural disinfectant that can work great as a mopping solution without chemical residue left on your floors.

Recipes

1/2 cup distilled white vinegar and 1 gallon of warm water
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar, 1 gallon of warm water, and 2 tablespoons of mild dish soap
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar, 1 gallon of warm water, several drops of scented oils (peppermint is my personal favorite) or lemon juice

Window Cleaner:

Window cleaner works great to give your mirrors and glass a nice clean surface, but it can also be used to mop your floors.

Recipes Mix 1 part window cleaner to one part warm water to clean vinyl and tile floors

Dish Soap:

Mild dish soap can work really well as a floor cleaner.

Recipes

Mix 1/4 cup dish soap, 2 cups of vinegar, 2 cups of warm water, and 1/2 cup of lemon juice.

Rubbing Alcohol:
