After huge success with both the DC07 and DC14 here in the United States, Dyson vacuum cleaners are again making news with the new Dyson DC15. Already released in the U.K., the new DC15 will include improved features over its previous models including the most noticeable feature, a large ball where wheels would normally be.
Dyson Vacuum Cleaner DC15 The Ball:
The ball is a rubber grooved cover for the motor of the Dyson DC15. Besides covering the motor, the ball gives the DC15 the ability to pivot and twist into spaces with less effort by its handler. The ball is supposed to make turning and pushing the vacuum a much more user friendly experience.
Dyson Vacuum Cleaner DC15 Root Cyclone Technology:
The DC15 continues the tradition of Dyson vacuum cleaners with its Root Cyclone Technology. Dyson vacuum cleaners use high forces of air to spin dirt and debris to the sides of the container, maintaining suction. Individual cyclonic chambers increase the power of the airflow, insuring that the vacuum cleaner will continue to work powerfully throughout a job.

The telescoping wand on the Dyson vacuum cleaner has a 17 foot expandable wand allowing easy reach to vacuum ceilings and stairs. The handle extends and retracts easily so storage is a snap.
Dyson Vacuum Cleaner Improved Features:
The Dyson DC15 has an improved brushroll with stiffer bristles to make it more effective at cleaning carpet. As an added bonus the DC15 is reportedly less noisy than the DC07 or DC14.
Dyson Vacuum Cleaner DC15 Concerns:
The DC15 reportedly has a lower number of airwatts, and therefore a little less suction power than the DC14 or DC07. Many of the same concerns about Dyson's ability to effectively clean carpet as well as other vacuum cleaners still exist, even with the improved brushroll. The biggest concern about the DC15 is its price. Prepare to pay around 600 dollars to have the newest model in your home.
Dyson Vacuum Cleaner DC15 Availability:
The Dyson DC15 is due to launch in the United States on Friday, April 22, 2005. The Dyson DC15 will be available for purchase begining in May at Best Buy, Amazon.com,Sears and many other major national retailers.
