The wife was complaining about how the whites weren't coming out bright enough. I was using 1 cup of bleach at the time. I read about using white vinegar so I picked up a gallon of the no name brand and started using it instead of bleach. When I brought the whites up from the basement I asked her if they looked whiter. She said yes. Then I told her what I had done.
